Convert your rental to a purchase? Yes if you want, you can convert your rental to a purchase.
Summary: If you wish to keep the rental meter for any reason and convert it into a purchase – or if you fail to return the rental meter to us for any reason – we will simply convert the appropriate remainder of your prepaid deposit towards the full purchase of that particular test meter. There is nothing else you need to pay. And we provide the same one-year warranty on your purchase of a rental meter, as with a new meter.
Why would you do this? After using the rental meters for a week, a high percentage of our clients discover that they want to keep the meters. There are several common reasons for this…
- Many people are unsure about buying a meter, or how much they will like it or use it. Renting is a convenient low-cost way to try out the meter first without committing to a higher-cost purchase upfront. So after using it during the “trial rental period”, many people then decide to buy it and keep it.
- Some people realize that they will need the meter for extra weeks – or will need to rent it again in the future – to retest the EMFs after making the changes and modifications needed to reduce the EMFs that they discovered with their rental meter. They can save money by simply buying the test meter they have rather than continuing to rent, or pay to rent it again in the future.
- Most often, people are surprised to see how valuable the test meter can be for them, and decide to keep it for continuing use such as: checking that the Wi-Fi is really turned off at their router and computers, that the Bluetooth in the new car is really turned off and stays off, that the new refrigerator or other appliance they just bought does not have any wireless or that it is properly turned off, that the emissions from cell towers or nearby power lines are not increasing with time, etc.
Amount of rental deposit applied: Your payment to purchase the rental meter will come directly from your prepaid deposit. There are no other fees you need to pay. However, if you prefer to have us send you a brand-new test meter of the same model, you will need to:
- Return the rental meter to us within the agreed upon regular time frame, plus
- Pay all additional shipping costs, including your return shipment to us of the rental meter, and the full shipping cost for us to send you a new test meter, plus
- Pay an extra $10 fee for our extra handling time.
Warranty: If you purchase the rental meter you already have, we provide our own warranty of one year from the date of your purchase. Most people choose this option because it is the lowest cost option – and actually most rental meters are relatively new, due to the high turnover of people constantly purchasing them.
Please note: If you choose to receive a brand new meter of the exact same model, you will have the added shipping costs to pay for (a) returning the rental meter to us, plus (b) our shipment of the brand new meter to you at the actual cost, plus (c) an extra $10 fee for our handling time.
