    Description

In my opinion, this is the best EMF shielding paint available today.  It can be used for reducing both (1) ELF electric fields from electrical wiring, and (2) radio frequency fields from all the various modern wireless RF sources such as cell towers, smart meters, wi-fi routers, etc.

Proper grounding is critical.  Ungrounded paints can actually increase the ELF electric fields.  Therefore, all conductive shielding paints require special grounding procedures, and this is very important (click this link for grounding kit instructions).  If you are concerned about whether to ground the paint to the electrical system grounding (typical procedure) vs a separate dedicated earth rod (cleaner grounding source), we recommend a phone consultation to discuss the pros and cons.

From my experience, 1 liter of Y-Shield paint will cover between 55 to 75 square feet of painted surface when applying two coats.  Generally, you will first apply two coats of the Y-Shield paint (which is black due to the conductive graphite/carbon it contains).  After that, apply two more coats of a regular paint with your chosen color.

This is a special German product designed with environmental health in mind.  Therefore it has very low levels of emitted VOCs, while still being quite effective for shielding purposes.  One of the helpful things about this graphite paint is that it is partially absorptive of the RF fields, much more absorptive than a metalized type of product.  Most RF shielding materials work primarily by reflection, like a mirror reflecting light.   While this paint also works primarily by reflection, the additional absorptive property can be very helpful for highly sensitive individuals.

This paint will be a very good shielding product for the higher RF frequencies (above 5 GHz) that will be used in the upcoming 5G wireless systems.

I always recommend testing (1) with an accurate RF meter (such as the Acoustimeter AM10) to be sure that you are reducing the RF levels properly, and (2) with a Body Volt Meter to be sure you are shielding the ELF electric fields correctly.  If possible, a telephone consultation is highly recommended to help develop an effective shielding design.

This special paint product can be purchased in 1 liter cans, 5 liter pails, or 20 liter buckets.
