Most computer laptops and other related electronic devices are not grounded.  When ungrounded, some laptops emit higher levels of electric fields and radio frequency fields, for example increasing the Body Voltage Measurement.  Grounding the laptop can greatly reduce these EMFs in many cases.  This 6 foot ground cord plugs right into the USB port of your laptop and makes contact with the laptop’s chassis, thus grounding it. The other end plugs into a standard three-prong (grounded) wall outlet (North American plug style).
